A Coral Gables rabbi has fallen victim to crime, as Hanukkah-themed decorations were stolen from the front lawn of his home.
The two large inflatables were taken from the front of Chany Stolik and Chabad Rabbi Avraham Stolik’s home last week.
“It was an eight-foot tall menorah and a six-foot tall dreidel that said Happy Hanukkah,” said Chany Stolik, owner of the home, so reported Local10.
According to the rabbi’s statement, he says he was in shock that someone stole his decorations, but he is pleased with how his community has rallied to support his family.
The response to this theft has been to shine the light even brighter. There will be a community menorah lighting in Ponce Circle Park at 2800 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Sunday night, at 4 pm.
Coral Gables Police are now investigating the theft and are asking anyone with information to call (305) 442-1600.
