The summit of the leaders of the Group of 20 countries in Rome, addressed for two days issues on climate change and a pandemic recovery that diverges between rich and poor countries.

One of the G20 agreements is “the commitment adopted by developed countries to seek to mobilize together 100,000 million dollars annually (…) until 2025” to allow developing countries to face climate change.

Regarding COVID-19, one of the agreed aspects is that the United States, India and China promise to “avoid restrictions on exports and increase transparency and visibility in the delivery of vaccines”, although they do not require deadlines.

The G20 leaders pledged to “avoid prematurely withdrawing support measures” to “continue sustaining the recovery,” while monitoring inflation.

Central banks “will act, if necessary, to fulfill their mission, which includes price stability.” The G20 countries will remain vigilant “on global challenges that impact [the] economies, such as disruptions in supply chains.” Information published in El Espectador.
