On July 15, JB Avenido Roche installed a hidden camera on a motorcycle parked in Davao del Sur, Philippines, before pouring synthetic blood on his shirt and pavement. He lay face down on the asphalt and, with the help of some friends, took his girlfriend, Mary Rose Gabuni, to the place where he was faking his death.
JB’s friends told Mary that her boyfriend had had a terrible accident while delivering hot food to a client.
She, disconsolate, arrived immediately at the place of the supposed event, and bent over it trying to wake it up with soft and delicate movements.
When she thought she would never wake up, Roche put his knee down and took out a small box from his trouser pocket. Finally, he asked her the expected question, and she did not hesitate to say yes, which made everyone present cheer and applaud with happiness. Everything had gone well.
“I had intended to ask him for a long time, so I wanted it to be memorable. I’m glad you said yes. She also saw the fun side of my proposal. We’re both happier than we’ve ever been,” JB said.
