The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) has announced improvements to Metrorail service. Starting Sunday, October 31, the Orange Line will once again operate between the Dadeland South stations and Miami International Airport.

“We are committed to providing frequent and reliable public transportation options to all Miami-Dade residents and visitors,” said Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.

“Restoring full Orange Line service will allow us to better serve passengers as more people return to public transportation, expanding and improving mobility for South Dade residents, as well as employees and visitors traveling to and from from the airport”.

Orange Line trains will depart from Dadeland South and Miami International Airport stations every 10 minutes weekdays during peak hours and 15 minutes during non-peak hours. Green Line trains will continue to operate every 10 minutes during peak hours and every 15 minutes outside of peak hours on weekdays.

Frequency from Monday to Friday for both Metrorail lines after 8:30 pm will be every 30 minutes. All trains will operate every 30 minutes throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Passengers heading to the airport from Palmetto Station transfer at Earlington Heights to connect with the Orange Line train.

In accordance with federal mandate, passengers traveling in transit are reminded that masks remain a requirement on all Miami-Dade Transit vehicles and at all transit facilities, including at bus stops and on platforms. of the stations.
