The losses of Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler are taking their toll on the Miami Heat, who lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, 111-85.
Bam Adebayo suffered a thumb injury, while Jimmy Butler has had problems in his coccyx, so coach Erik Spoelstra has had to find a way to have a competitive team until both recover.
This was undoubtedly one of the worst games the Miami Heat have had at home at FTX Arena in the 2021-2022 NBA campaign.
Tyler Herro was the standout for the Miami Heat
In the absence of Adebayo and Butler, the Miami Heat have had to rely on Tyler Herro as their offensive weapon.
This Wednesday he did his job, scoring 21 points and six assists, which in the end didn’t count for much.
“Whether Jimmy comes back for this road trip or not, with those two guys out, somebody has to step up,” Herro said after the game.
Most troubling is the Miami Heat’s situation, was that Duncan Robinson left the commitment with 0 points, with 0-6 in three-pointers, when it was more important for him to step up after the absence of his colleagues.

Miami Heat dropped to fifth place
With this defeat, the team from the “City of the Sun” fell to fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 13 wins and nine losses.
The team from the “Ciudad del Sol” will have to improve their tactics to win their games in order to remain in the race for the postseason.
This Friday they will return to the court to face the Indiana Pacers, who are not doing well this season, as visitors at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
