Update: Bar Nancy, J. Wakefield Brewery, Taurus Beer & Whisky House – these are just some of the establishments who tell us today they felt “blindsighted” by a @CityofMiami amended order on the cusp of #reopening to #onsite dining yesterday with bars closed like restaurants. https://t.co/clLsbBZMof pic.twitter.com/JRjDYBxlgo

Just spoke to the owner of @jwakefieldbeer. He says 2-hours into opening on-site dining yesterday he was told he had to close. @CityofMiami amended its own order just one day before after he already invested in food + signage + staff. He says no one at the city gave notice. https://t.co/qQWvfjCre8 pic.twitter.com/F08iPJZnCX

And here’s how it gets confusing. Around the corner from @jwakefieldbeer you find Veza Sur Brewing – part of the Anheuser-Busch InBev family who are currently open. We continue to wait on a @CityofMiami statement addressing business owner concerns re: inequitable enforcement. https://t.co/bPrMzhox6O pic.twitter.com/ZVLQj9uWsM

Background: the @CityofMiami says it comes down to an establishment’s license and certificate of use. Business owners we spoke with say “blindsighted” when City amended order day before #reopening + say not given notice. Caught in the city’s semantics they say are livelihoods. https://t.co/zEvNVUOnyl pic.twitter.com/1pYLfNEkFt

Update: I just got off the phone with @CityofMiami’s City Manager who tells me a compliance task force has just finished visiting Veza Sur to enforce compliance. https://t.co/zEvNVUOnyl
