A pedestrian in Florida was seriously injured after being hit by a car on Wednesday morning, police said.
According to a press release, a car struck a pedestrian around 4:30 a.m. as the man was walking in the north lane on South Washington Avenue, also known as US 1, ClickOrlando reported .
Officers said a 20-year-old Rockledge driver struck the man just north of the State Road 405 exit ramp.
Investigators said the pedestrian was transported with life-threatening injuries. No further injuries were reported.
This is the second accident involving a pedestrian near US 1 in Titusville reported by police since December 12.
