An underwater park near Miami Beach will be the new project designed for this 2022, whose objective is to protect the coast from the direct effects of climate change, Diario Las Américas reported .
The project has been designed by the architectural studio OMA, whose objective is to complete this project by the end of 2022, a project that is representative for the city of Miami. The park is being built in stages, but it is estimated that the first will be inaugurated in December, that is, that its structures are installed, which will be an artificial reef.
The size of the park will be seven miles long (a little more than 11 kilometers), being a reinforcement for the Miami Beach coastline and thus avoiding less climatic effects.
The project leader is the architect Shohei Shigematsu, who is a partner of the OMA studio and the team for this is made up of marine biologists, coastal architects and engineers, as well as researchers.
