Miami Vice was a film that broke schemes, mainly in the criminal action genre, so much so that 15 years after its premiere, people are still talking about it.

This era is marked by living in an era in the world of cinema and entertainment where the big talk of the town is “what has this movie about Rotten Tomatoes?”

Recently, Marvel’s latest blockbuster,   Eternals  , has become the first title in the burgeoning movie universe with a “rotten” rating. The debate listed above was reinvigorated and this has given a lot of thought to which movies are not received positively by the general public, but still have their collective fans Hidden Remote Account .

But in the case of this is a true symbol of cult on social media platforms and revisionism, Michael Mann’s 2006 masterpiece  Miami Vice   has been a very popular topic during the conversation. And with its 15th anniversary upon us, it’s best to look back and see how my personal favorite filmmaker has created something groundbreaking in the crime action genre.

Why Miami Vice (2006) still stands 15 years later

Miami Vice  (2006) is a movie with a standard blockbuster budget of approximately $ 135 million, but less is created in the vein of Mann’s earlier genre films such as   Heat   (1995) or   Ali   (2001) , but it feels more like an  auteur movie . Mann has built the foundation for the original ’80s series with familiar character names, locations, romantic subplots, and more, but creates an illusory, almost dreamlike setting.

In Mann’s previous works such as   Heat  and   Collateral   (2004) we are seen as observers who observe the scene of the crimes on which these characters act. However, at   Miami Vice  , we are spectators in the world of the film and we also reflect on what we would do in their situation if they put us in their shoes. As we watch each interaction with others, we are making a mental note of how these long-served feelings and acts of loneliness have affected the characters’ lives and how they play a crucial role in ours.
