Alarm bells go off! Police presence at Miami-Dade school due to shooting threat

With the population on alert due to the misfortune that occurred at Oxfford High School in Michigan this week, alarms were triggered again by another shooting threat, but this time in Miami-Dade, specifically at Dr. Michael Krop Senior High School.

The threat was posted on the social network Snapchat where a photograph could be seen where a subject was pointing a gun at the school. It was captioned, “I’m leaving krop cya. Don’t come to school today “.

Miami-Dade school officials issued the following statement about the threat:

“We became aware of a social media posting of a threatening nature involving Dr. Michael Krop Senior High School. Miami-Dade School Police are conducting a thorough investigation. At this time, there is no reason to believe the threat is credible; however, out of an abundance of caution, there is additional police presence at the school,” 7 News. reported.

Authorities took it upon themselves to report the incident to the parents of the student body, in addition to reporting the police presence to let them know that everything was under control.

It should be noted that if the person responsible for the threat is caught, he could face at least 15 years in prison.
