Ryan Rogers, a 14-year-old Palm Beach County boy, was found dead last November. Law enforcement authorities confirmed Wednesday night that an arrest had been made in the Rogers murder.
Rogers, a freshman at William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, was found dead just minutes from his home on November 16. He was last seen alive the night before when he left his home on a bicycle.
Detectives first thought it was a traffic accident, but as the investigation progressed they realized it was murder.
Palm Beach Gardens police announced Wednesday night that the arrest had been made in Miami and that the suspect was in their custody. Further details of the suspect’s identity and any additional information in the case have not yet been released, Local10 announced.
A press conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday to provide more details on the case.
